The Current Reality

The need for a new playground at Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary has become increasingly clear and urgent, as the current structure, now over 20 years old, has deteriorated beyond repair. Parts of the playground have become unusable due to safety concerns, and have been cordoned off to prevent children from accessing them. The playground components that remain open lack accessible features and do not adequately support students with mobility challenges, limiting opportunities for inclusive play. The need is clear and our students deserve a safe, inclusive space to play, grow, and thrive.

In the Fall of 2024, all Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary School students voted on their favorite design elements.
